This website deals with mainly social anxiety, but some people may have more than one type of anxiety.  With any anxiety, social anxiety included, you don’t fight it.  You just let it be.  You notice it and let it be without reacting.  The best way to describe this is to float through the anxiety.

Floating through the anxiety isn’t easy, it takes practice.  But once you learn how to float through the anxiety, the anxiety will begin to disappear.  The anxiety will no longer have control of your emotions, therefore it doesn’t have a purpose so it seizes to exists.

An Easier Way To Overcome Anxiety

There is not any easy way to overcome anxiety, but there are a few ways to help getting through anxiety easier.

Breathing Exercises.  Anytime you feel uptight, nervous, or panicky, focus on slowing down your breathing and mental think “relax”

Optimistic Visualization.  This is another great mental exercise.  Imagine yourself a year in the future.  You are at the beach or in your favorite chair relaxing.  Anxiety is a thing of the past.  You feel confident, happy, and what other positive feelings?  Enjoy these feelings.  Practice this visualization often.

Get Help.  Having a therapist is probably the best way to go.  A therapist can give you the tools to work through anxiety.  An alternative to seeing a therapist is using a reliable self help program.
